Dream of Hari & Harry

Hari, a middle aged farmer, is ploughing his fields on a hot summer day. Not many dare to go to fields on such a hot day, but Hari has a family to fed - 3 small kids, 1 weary wife & 2 ailing parents.

When most of the farmers goes back in the evening & enjoys local liquor, Hari tries to find some labour work at nearby bus stand. Hari has a family to fed - 3 small kids, 1 weary wife & 2 ailing parents.

Hari loves his family and his only aim in life has become to earn 2 meals for his family and makes them happy.

Hari also has a strange habit of dreaming a single dream every day of his life. A dream which he accidentally saw one night becomes the pillar of his life around which he weaves his life. His dream keeps him happy and energetic. In most testing situations of his life, he drew greatest strength from this dream. People started calling him lunatic on his back.

He dreams of living a luxurious life in a metro city of Mumbai, from poverty ridden village to a princely estate in a modern city. Wow what a life!. Where his 3 kids go to school everyday (English medium ofcourse ! ) where his weary wife transforms into a beautiful model and parents enjoys their retirement age.

Sounds childish, but a poor farmer thinks of this dream while working hard and longer than other people. He thinks of this while going hungry to bed and while looking his parents suffering due to lack of medical treatment. He thinks of his dream in most detailed manner in the most troubled of times.

He believes that one day his dream will come true, some day he will get an obscene amount of money, which will transform his life. May be a magic will happen some day, may be he will found a lost treasure some day. Some day he will be able to enjoy the riches of a city life. Some day........
---------------------------

Its 12’0 clock in night and Harry, a young 35 year old guy, is working in his new office cabin. Recently he is being promoted as CEO of an MNC. Not many work till such late hours but Harry has a race to win – to be most efficient & praiseworthy employee, to be most rich & successful among his social circle.

On weekends when everybody goes out or relax with family, Harry is busy making his reports for next presentation meeting. Harry has a race to win – to be most efficient & praiseworthy employee, to be most rich & successful among his social circle.

Harry’s married life is almost on brink of collapsing as his wife has found other means of fulfilling her desires. Harry’s kids and parents do not bother him anymore as he is never their when they needed him most, though their financial expenditures are well taken care.

Harry has started thinking about what he has actually gained, other than rich man diseases, in all these years of working. He is under constant pressure to perform. He is not able to enjoy, the money he is earning. Though he has every luxury of this world he does not have a peace of mind.

Harry dreams of having a quite and peaceful life, where he may not have money but has a loving wife and kids. Where he could atleast sit and talk with his family, where he could have a sound sleep in the night without taking any medication, where every morning does not bring a pressure of performing. He dreamt of having left the disastrous city life behind and moved to the village, to the fields.

In reality, he knew, he could never put away the luxury of which he & his family is now used too.
But he dream that some day a miracle would happen and he would get back the control of his life. Some day a magic will let him live the essence of being alive. Some day......

Your ease to rational & logical approach has an amazing combination with your creative appetite for somthing different. Keep it up dear.

  5. well its a vicious circle...with time and age a person gets entangled so much into the daily chores of life that bringing a change seem impossible...is it possible to bring the change when click of the mouse is more important then bite of a bread. gone are the days when we used to play in mud, rolling a cycle tyre all along the street, the smell of sand and the first shower gave goose bumps on the skin...
